There are two extensions to the standard described in the LINPACK User's Guide. Sun Performance Library contains double complex (COMPLEX*16) although double complex is not a standard FORTRAN 77 data type. This extension is in accordance with the recommendations stated by the LINPACK developers in the LINPACK User's Guide. Also, this version of Sun Performance Library contains a native C/C++ interface to LINPACK. Conventions for this interface are described in detail in the preface to this manual.
