Abstract:

ADAPTOR (Automatic DAta Parallelism TranslatOR) is a public domain Fortran compilation system developed at the SCAI institute of FhG, Germany.

It can be used to translate high level parallel programs like HPF or OpenMP Fortran to lower level parallel programs (MPI and/or PThreads). But it supports also source code instrumentation and provides runtime functionality to profile all kind of Fortran programs.

This installation guide describes how the ADAPTOR system is installed for different parallel architectures and how the installation is tested on the given target machine.
